CHILD HOOD MEMOIRS

Today I took a journey through the times
The childhood hues
Our street blues
My childhood memoirs like glue

Our young men have all grown
How it started, we all know
The maiden started to be pregnant
The boys started their love for cigarettes

The more we brood the books
'They' told us 'you know we are hood'!
Read your books, leave us the crooks
We will guide your hook

While they ask for cigarettes and crack
Our hearts sank with headache clack
They way thier lips turned black
Their hoarse groans as their lungs crack

Years have silently passed
'Our' hood is a deserted grass
The 'boys' who smoked then have their lungs in a glass
They can't pay the doctor for their gas!

The ones who read lead steps ahead
The 'boys' 20 box to stay on their head
Their steps are laced on leads
Life indeed is great

There is a reward for hard work folks!
Even the talents need practice from the coax
Reasons teachers need chalk
Learn before tomorrow stalks
