My brother, eerie lover
I gave all for your cover
I won't expose, I could cower
Tommorrow is a terrible leper
Who knows? How you will be my brother?
I love you like my life
What you like attracts strife
This rumours keep raging rife
My brother, soul lover
Sleep robber
Dangerous lover
Peaceful fever
Slippery lover, eely brother
Hardened lather, tricky leather
Soul lover...free giver
My lost brother...
Come home...For you we gather...
Forget the matter...let settle and prosper

NIGER DELTA TEARS
I gave my all to humanity
It seemed I gave enmity
I gave my peace to conflict
Broken families and cruel children spits
I learnt my voice to oppression
Many wills suffered depression
I spoke loud in sunrise
My image suffered many dark nights
For every ill I rebuked
A thousand dictators arose
I spoke against tribalism and ethnicity
Other tribes spoke of conquered territories
I spoke for unity
Their actions suggested anarchy
I spoke of environmental degradation
I spoke of depravation and society exacerbation
They saw a common wealth of a nation
The more they spoke nigeria
I was forced to remember Biafra!
There is more hope in resource control
They said we are leeches
We are few
They can trample with shoes
How can a few
Detect our cue?
I am Niger delta...
I have been stung in the stew
It seemed I gave enmity
I gave my peace to conflict
Broken families and cruel children spits
I learnt my voice to oppression
Many wills suffered depression

KINGS OF AFRICAN STRUGGLES....XENOPHOBIA
My brother, my brother
Son of my mother
Hold on your prized anger
Mighty hunter....mighty panther
My brother, my brother
You curl everyday under the rafter
Unaware of some changes in some matter
Those spear and bows drives the animal to laughter
My brother
When they see your spear they gather
And discuss issues rather than scatter
Our jungle has tasted change. ..mighty panther
My brother...There is so much hunger
It hurts to see you wander
When there is so much for the hunter
These animals have met another panther
Becareful my brother!....brother!!
These animals want shelter from a new master
Son of my father!
You are all that matter
Watch how they refuse to gather
Change your approach
At the back they call you 'coackcroach'
Everything you've done, they question the coach
Please my brother, let's clean this reproach
My brother! Mightiest of hunters!
Prove them wrong in this matter
Accusations is slowly building the banter
They mock us as bastards
My brother, mighty son of our fathers
Look deep in this pranks
Remember to break their ranks
Roar and save this jungle from the hunters!!!
Son of my mother
Hold on your prized anger

DONT DIVORCE YET.....DONT!
Every body must keep to the ills
Of partnership and wills
Forget the regret after the bliss
Don't divorce! Don't hiss
Careful scrutiny should have been made
Before you married the maid
Why are you afraid of the bed?
You acquired for your beard?
Before you grew tired and frustrated
I hope you didn't poison the hated?
The blame is always on the under rated
Whose opinion is not to be debated
Before you leave what is your proof?
Change your attitude and reproof
Gag some habits in a waterproof
And watch bliss return with a shiny hoof
Of partnership and wills
Forget the regret after the bliss
Don't divorce! Don't hiss
Careful scrutiny should have been made
Before you married the maid
Why are you afraid of the bed?
You acquired for your beard?
Before you grew tired and frustrated
I hope you didn't poison the hated?

IN MEMORY OF PROF KOFFI AWOONOR
Hey! Pacy hunter
I thought you were my brother
You are dark like 'our' mother
Should I be afraid of this banter?
Awoonor! Awoonor! Run like the panther
The earth is really a peaceful matter
No longer afraid to hold your anger
Embrace the friendly hunger
They could gloat for whatever wickedness
This killings in Africa is too mindless
Is this really poverty or illiterate redress?
Religious or political harness?
Al-shabab!!! You have murdered
Scattered and plundered
All those you have angered
Families weeping the unfathered
All of us will someday kiss the earth
There is always a redress on your death
Which I'm sure one day, will be red
You will be laid on a burial bed
We won't breathe the dust forever
If you scatter pellets, will it be forever?
There is a season to lose, evil diva
Sullen act of wickedness on a lame river
All of you together is a shortage to Awoonor
Kenyatta and Mahama is it yet uhuru?
Sun of shaka Zulu
Smile on us! Forget this shabab burrow
Who has nothing to offer our world
But deceit of religion on a defenceless mall
Women and children buried in a hall
Writing long history of hatred on a cold wall
And painted our Awoonor on a graffiti
Bragging infamy for countries to writ
To mourn a man who went to read wit
Covered in emotionless wreathe
Our earth is stained again Awoonor
This religion is a provoking donor
Of grief instead of honour
What did we get? Bloodied Awoonor
Legacy has been stained again
What is your gain?
For gunning defenceless men in a rain...
Just to gloat? And inflict pain???
Rest in utopia with the utopians
Cursed remains those fallopians
That bore those barbarians
May they all die in defiance
In memory of Prof. Koffi Awoonor
